Amber Quill Press (and its Erotica and Erotic Romance imprint Amber Heat as well as the Gay/Lesbian imprint Amber Allure) is primarily a "submit by invitation only" publisher, and apart from our annual Amber Heat Wave™ Erotica Writing Contest (see following paragraph), we have never been open to "outside" submissions. Please be aware that any unsolicited synopses, partials, or complete manuscripts sent to our email addresses or snail-mailed to our business office by either an author or an agent will be deleted unread, without exception. And since we are primarily a "submit by invitation only" publisher, we no longer reply to any general query letters, including letters asking for invitations to submit. Invitations are issued only at our discretion, depending on our genre needs at any given moment in time, and the occasions are rare.

Our annual Amber Heat Wave™ Erotica Writing Contest (held during the first two weeks of January) is the only time we are open to submissions for our Amber Heat Erotica and Erotic Romance imprint as well as any Gay/Lesbian Erotic Romance for our Amber Allure imprint. This is the sole opportunity each year for "outside authors" to send us material for publishing consideration. Authors of each year's winning manuscripts are then invited to join our roster and, as such, are free to submit any and all new material (whether Erotica or other genres) as it becomes available. Contest guidelines are posted approximately several months prior to January 1st, so if you're interested in submitting any material, please come back toward the end of 2007 and view the submission criteria.
