Linda Prine started writing for fun when she was pregnant with her second daughter. After reading several historical romances she came up with her own plot and wrote some ideas down on a legal pad when the little ones napped. Her characters, Amanda and Brandon were born, via typewriter; at about the time her third daughter arrived. Life would invade on her writing time, but she never quite gave up on the story.

In the meantime, she joined Romance Writers of America, found a local chapter and took numerous writing workshops and attended several conferences, hoping to hone her craft. She also fell into writing newsletters for her church and PTA and in a roundabout way came into her next writing experience. Linda was offered a job as a columnist for her local newspaper. Each week, for the last 17 years, she has written "Prine on People," about accomplishments of individuals in her community. In addition, she was part of a group of 12 other authors contributing a short story for an anthology sold to Starlog in 1993. The sale of her first book is a dream come true.
